Ever since the engine rebuild, I've ad this tiny annoying oil leak.
Intially I thought it was the Perma cool Cooler, after removal, the leak was still there.
While removing the cooler, I noticed the oil sender T was extremely loose. Ripped everything apart, teflon paste, and re-attach.
Yesterday after work I drove home, and sure enough the leak was still there. I'm assuming it can be the residual oil left in the outer grooves of the oil filter. I will keep driving in a few days to see if the leak is still there.
Jamesman said that it is not likely that the oil pump is the culprit. And points in the direction of the junction between oil filter block to engine block, or possibly the oil pan.
I'll keep on driving to see if the problem is still there and will address it in a few days.
Just FMI, what else can possible leak in the back of the engine block?
