only 96+ obdII cars need missing link (or other fuel cut defenser), i believe the 95's dont.

buy the sfmu directly from vortech is more cheap.

depending on your fuel system you'll need different rising rate "disks" than the (i think) 12:1 disk that comes with the kit. you might also need a firmer spring, too. don't really know much about the S-FMU, i'm having to do some research of my own because i'm sick of the Craptech FPR blowing my piston ring landings.

I thought the S in S-FMU meant you could adjust the rising rate and that with the plain old FMU you have to change disks?

You have to change the disks with both the FMU and S-FMU. The advantages of the S-FMU are fine adjustment screws and it comes with 4 disks. The FMU only comes with the one disk you specify and you have to order others.
