Whatsup fellas, think imma send my turbo in to hrc for the 20g upgrade. have any body ever considered porting there manifold? i know this will greatly increase spool up time. any downsides to this? will it be weaker? aall you hrc guys let me know......... once again factual info please, not hearsay unless its factual,

try porting the exhaust housing on the turbo also. Even with the 10cm2 housing this should still help.

I had considered having my HRC manifold ported once, and a welder told me that it would probably weaken the welds on it, so I didn't. Do you have the cast iron manifold or the tubular one?

I'm running the S16G now, but I do plan to upgrade to the 20G next year Right now, I'm looking to get a BIG fmic because the Starion i/c isn't very efficient when I'm running 18-20 psi. Then the bigger turbo.

my manifold came almost perfectly gasket matched out of the box, but I have seen some older manifolds with a circular opening on the flange. I would get that bored out to the shape of the gasket, or get a newer manifold.
