Well I'll try a few (feel free to correct any misinfo)

is this

>egt gauge apex?

All you'll need to run the recommended boost (5-7psi) and turbo timer unless you dont mind sitting in your car for several minutes before shuting it down. From reading further down your post you'll need a fuel pressure gauge also.

You dont need the profec b (boost controller) anything from a $50 Joe P manual to whatever you want to spend will workt to raise boost. You need the superAFC (or like fuel controller). Injector size depends on amount of boost and power you anticipate on running along with what type of boost dependent regulator you use. Either pump will work with proper selection of injector size and regulator (you dont need both if fuel system is set up properly/working within proper fuel pressure limits). You'll need to change the regulator that comes with the star kit to something more adjustable or at least something with a lower fixed ratio tban 12:1 (I'll let others ezplain all that).

Just pistons, rods and rings. Figure aound $1200 or so for parts

You dont need the port/polish/valve job but cant hurt either. I'd save my money until I've got the turbo system running in fine tune.

Dont know how well autos do but probably no worse than manuals given the number that explode without a turbo or anything else.
