#3374, "HRC Manifold ?"

Hey guys, first question is can I polish or powdercoat the manifold? Second question is if I can polish the manifold can I use a dremel and do it myself? Also does anybody know where I can get another stud - the one's that mount the turbo to the manifold?

If you're going to paint the manifold or something, I wouldn't recommend it. I polished mine to a mirror before installing the turbo kit and, about two months later the manifold looks worse than before. Either leave it alone or send it out to have it coated to reduce heat dissipation. I can't think of the name of the company though. It's "Cool" something.

nah its Jet-Hot or HPC (Hi-performance coatings)
both are really good and well priced, jethot even sent me a video tape and brochure and all this shit, check them out, both of their websites are listed on my links page of my site.
their coatings looks just as good as polish and are heat dissipators as well

I just finished checking out their sites. Have you gotten any quotes from either of them? There's a guy that's in my local DSM club that works for HPC and he said it'd be $350 for the manifold!

That $350 seems expensive. I believe you can get the manifold coated for about $100, and the turbine housing for about $75.

What do you think about Jet Coating? They quoted me $120 +shipping for the manifold and $100 for the turbo.

WOW.... I got my Turbine housing, downpipe, and manifold all HPC coated for $145... then I even got the compressor housing polished to near chrome for another $45 through a local shop here in San Antonio... Shop around and maybe you can get a good deal...
