Nothing. You will get hesitations and other bad stuff everytime you build boost. Unless you have a freak--which has happen--will run w/ no FCD. I haven't got one yet, but everybody seems to like the synapses one. If you need to drive the car, just watch you boost gauge and don't build boost.

I have a 97 w/ Star kit. I ate about 3 FCD's so far and Wyatt sent me this last one that seems to be working OK, but I'm looking to spend about 50 bux soon on the synapses FCD, MAP tricker-thinger.

I have a 98, obd2, and i got fuel cut when boosting without a fuel cut defenser. I have no clue as to how some of you guys can do without it, but hey, whatever works By far, the best thing to get is the Synapse engineering Missing Link. This mounts on the map sensor, and is a check valve to keep the map from seeing boosted pressure. It works excellent, and much more reliable than electronic ones.
