I have a 98 RS and I bought a 3 year extended warranty. I'm going turbo within this next week and then I want to start saving up for a rebuild. But IF for some reason my engine would blow before I have the rebuild cash could I just take off the turbo and tell them it blew and get it fixed under warranty then slap the turbo back on with a new stock 420A?

Yea you could get away with it, make sure you take everything off, i mean everything, and put everything back the right way, put vaccum hoses back and everything, take your fuel pump and fuel pressure riser and everything out, also, when u make the hole in your oil pan, just buy a new oil pan and put it on..i know a couple of people who have got away with shootin nos into there engines and blowing them, and they got them replaced with a brand new engine, im sure pistons and rods are covered in the warranty and stuff

well im sure you can get away with it but you would have to have a fmic or a stg 1 because with stg 2 smic you have to drill a big hole for the ic piping. i guess you can get it made. and if you go fmic you have to do some slight modifications and im nt sure if theyl notice but u nvr no. i say you jes go with stg 1. but i dont no
