yea i think you should get new ones. cause i'm pretty sure that they remove the vlaves to do the grind, so it would be a good idea to get new ones, plus then you can have the head hot tanked to really clean it.

when they remove the head to do the tear down, seals and gaskets should be rplaced. The valve seals themselve look like a little boot held inplace around the valve by what looks like an O shaped spring. yes replace all you can cause you never want to take the head off after rebuild. late mike
