wow. 17? i barly see 12 too. well the guage reads 9 but when the car is off it reads llmost 3psi boost so its off. i have checked all my wires and shit but i cant hear or see anything. but i do kinda hear suction at my fpr. is it suppose to sound like that? if not where are some likely places to have a vacum leak. and would a vaccum leak cause you to lean out at full boost? thnx and sorry for all the questions.

I would be willing to bet that that hissing sound that you are hearing is either your check valve on the regulator malfunctioning, or you have it installed backwards. Mine does not make any hissing noises. Also if you have your fuel pressure tuned at 50 psi at 10 er so vacuum, then does alter the rise rate of your fuel pressure. You will essentially be a bit lean untill WOT. Its probably not enough though to actually cause a problem.

17-18 in/Hg @ idle, with all accessories off; with the heater on (yes, heat, it's still cold in Ohio), I see 16-17 in/Hg.

straight from chiltons

17-22 steady = normal good condition
15-20 steady= late ignition or valve timing, low compression, stuck throttle vlave, leaking carbeurator (yeah right), or manifold gasket.

hehe mine would be low compression and bad manifold gasket
