Hey guys, is this a possibilty that a company like for example "JET" Take our ECU's and reprogam them to compensate for boost or fuel pressure changes?
We should start looking more into the Chrylser turbo ECU's.. They are off of the older modem turbo chryslers 1985-94' So they would have pre-obd and obd1 ecu's.

Highly unlikely to work since the 420A started as a clean slate (unlike hondas that seem to have no problem running different model ecu's). I think the best bet would be reprogrammed mexican 2.4L turbo stratus ecu's. Since its of the 420A family all the sensors will likely be the same (except those related to positive pressure) and its already programmed to accomidate boost. All that would seem to be required is to reprogram it to run everything in reverse (like ours opposed to the neon) and make sure the harness wiring lines up with the right sensors. SOHC neons work with DOHC ecu's and vise-versa (and the neon and stratus ecus appear to physically fit our cars) so I think its workable in the hands of the right programmers (which sure as hell aint JET). On a side note if those with 96 up models could use these ecu's to accomidate for boost electotronically it would save the trouble of running return lines.
Actually For a year or so, I have been toying with the idea of just using the MOPAR 2.0L DOHC Off-Road PCM (ECU). Obviously its intended for Neons, however I believe that if i wire it in (yes WIRE by WIRE! - I have done crazier stuff before) it should work fine.
Other alternative would be to custom map my PCM. Anyone know if it has an E-PROM????
A friend of mine has offered to help do it for me. He designs (and makes) Fuel injection coversion systems for Big-Block Carbureted Chevy, Ford and Mopar Engines....
So I would like to know if we indeed do have an E-PPROM in our PCMs in order to do this, or even better if anyone can get the progam information of the E-PROM on a computer file...
