i am interested in buying a friends turbo kit from him, he said the wastegate is stuck open. is that something that would be easy and cheap to fix? any ideas why its stuck? thanks its a stage 2 kit btw

Shouldn't be hard. There's really nothing to any wastegate, and there may not be anything at all wrong with it.
There's a metal arm the connects the flapper to the wastegate, and it has a habit of falling off sometimes. Put it back on, good as new.
Buy it, but pay less cuz "it's broke"

Hey Dino,
Mine was falling off all the damn time... and I made a little cotter pin out of a thin piece of steel. It ate through it, I began to get frustrated, so I went to my buddies machine shop and had him fabricate a threaded titanium pin. That fixed it REAL good.
PS "...connects the flapper to the..." is that the technical name?
