i am interested in buying a friends turbo kit from him, he said the wastegate is stuck open. is that something that would be easy and cheap to fix? any ideas why its stuck? thanks its a stage 2 kit btw

Shouldn't be hard. There's really nothing to any wastegate, and there may not be anything at all wrong with it.
There's a metal arm the connects the flapper to the wastegate, and it has a habit of falling off sometimes. Put it back on, good as new.
Buy it, but pay less cuz "it's broke" :-)

Hey Dino,
Mine was falling off all the damn time... and I made a little cotter pin out of a thin piece of steel. It ate through it, I began to get frustrated, so I went to my buddies machine shop and had him fabricate a threaded titanium pin. That fixed it REAL good. :D
PS "...connects the flapper to the..." is that the technical name?
