Sup fellaz, like before, (all together now) IF IT'S NOT ONE THING THAN IT"S ANOTHER.......
I need to find somewhere to buy the gasket that goes between the exhaust manifold and the actual turbo t3/4 itself. It should be a pretty small gasket about 2in by 3in.
Once again, I do NOT need the exhaust manifold gasket (had the hardest time telling that to discount autoparts) Just the smaller one that goes between the manifold and turbo itself?? anywhere local? or do I have to order it off a performance shop?? My old one kinda...umm...blew out?? a small chunk of it from the middle just went pooooof....disappeared leaving a nice hole right there blowing all the nice exhaust gases in my face everytime I open er up. Well let's hear em fellaz

Wyatt wouldn't have one.. when i asked him the same question a year ago, his answer was "It shouldn't need a gasket"
RRE has on in thier hacker-tweaker/DIY section, i believe.

When you're talking 1500* internal temps and 500* surface temps.. yeah, they are kinda hard to make. You can't just drop some RTV in there, unless it's the heavy duty 1500* rated black goo..

I got my gasket from NAPA store two blocks away from my house for $9.99. Part no. F7414, its metal and it is actually a gasket for T3 turbo. Hope it will help.

YOU DO NOT NEED A GASKET. Cast iron to cast iron does not require a gasket. unless the manifold is made of something different than the turbo (such as HRC Stainless steel vs cast iron turbine) there is no benefit to a gaket unless you are trying to insulate heat from tranferring to the manifold. I wondered myself until I read the above in Corkey bells maximum boost. The wastegate flange would be an ideal place for a gasket since tranferring of heat it detramental to wastegate life. Those are standard turbonetics found anywhere (RRE).
