I said it works "ok" b/c it did and I didn't adjust it all the time, I started the car, b/c there wasn't a whole hell of a difference I would have made with an adjustment. It would always be high when it was cold and always go back down after it warmed up. Also, for the time I had it, it did provide me with the ratio I had wanted (kind of).
Here's the downside, the damn thing was hardly ever stable. It would fluctuate like mad, until I took it apart, and continued to fluctuate during boosted operation. When I say fluctuate, I mean the needle to the FP guage would not be stable and would quiver 2-3 psi back and forth to what ever given fuel pressure it was supposed to be at. Moreover, as it got older, I noticed that upon immediate WOT, going under boost, I would read lean. Under slow transient throttle pressure onto boost, it would read rich. This in my mind, meant that the FPR had a difficult time having the boost shoved down its throat...err diaphram.
After inspecting the unit from its innerds, I'm of the opinion that all of these problems are related to two major parts. One, a shitty rubber diaphram that has some sort of wanna-be air pocket inside, AND a shotty static spring. You might as well find one (and I'm exagerrating here) of these springs in a retractable pen, but in all seriousness, it really is a weak looking spring when you compare it to the Vortech, as well as the better conceived diaphram that isn't made of rubber, nor does it require an air pocket inside, which just seems dumb IMHO.

Conclusion: The FPR is functional (or "ok", if you don't have one with defective parts)...but just barely.
