ok as some of you knwo I bought a 2gnt turbo car...look in the pits for more info...
But here is the questions, Seems as thought the previous owner has the boost set to around 8-10psi. I'm not positive on thatsince I can't get a load on the motor. The gauge hits that area when I boost in the driveway. My question is don't these cars need a FCD or a Missing Link to run normal.
This car seems as though it has NOTHING controling fuel except the FMU on the firewall. Now I know I'm a vigrin here but I thought we needed more.
This kid also told me that the car had after market pistons and rods...I havn't taken the oil pan off to look yet.
Also the turbo has three broken bolts on the top of the exhaust side going to the DP.
The idle in this car is all over the place when just sitting it jumps from 250rpms all the way to 1500.
Any help would be cool...and I'm researching as I post this.
This car has a FMIC so I'm assuming it's a stage 2 kit...
Thanks in advance.

the car will run and boost fine on just an FMU and stock injectors to a specific boost number.

get a gasket for it, and replace the bolts. Use pb blaster if they're stubborn.

to start, check for an IAC issue or vaccum leak.

Its possible your just not noticing the issue. My 97 only felt liek you were hitting a crack in the road when it saw positive pressure for more than 2 secs. NO violent fuel cut or anything like that.
The 95's dont need an FCD and some 96's dont either. Back when i had my 96 talon, I ran for 2 or 3 years without one and never even had an issue.
