i have wiseco 8:8:1 pistons and eagle rods. Bought engine from a machine shop. I did research and use the search button but im looking for a direct answer so i dont mess this up. I been turbo for a while before putting this engine in but im looking to run 15psi of boost. I was only running 8psi before. I have the star stage 2 kit. If i did my research right i need sfmu, bigger injectors and all fuel lines and etc hardware to go with it. i know i need boost controller and things like that but my question is what size injectors 450cc? and what disk should i run for the sfmu? anything else?

450's should be fine, but why do you want to go with the sfmu? Honestly for a little more money you can go with megasquirt and you'll be able to actually tune. Personally I'd look into megasquirt and then pick up some cheap stock evo injectors (560's) so you have some more room to play with. I can't remember what size disc you need to run if you must use the sfmu but I know there is a section in the wiki (or at the very least at thread) that details different sfmu setups and how they worked for different people. I'll see if I can find it

thanks alot, i just figured that the sfmu would be better for me because i really dont know much about megasquirt, but then again i would like to have a better tuning range so megasquirt would prob. work better for me once i learn more about it and how it works. Also 20psi of boost would be hard to reach without messing with timing right?
if you go with a stock ECU, then yes, you will need water/meth injection, aftermarket ignition control box, or higher octane fuel to deal with the stock ecu wanting to retard timing. Stock ECU can provide timing for 15psi but thats about it. If you go with megasquirt, these are not needed as megasquirt also controls timing. Not to mention, FMU's (but the aeromotive 1:1 is good) are kind of stupid to me since sometimes you deal with rediculously high fuel pressures depending on which one you get

Go ahead with MS. Soon after boostin to only 15psi you will want more. No matter what your goals change to in the future, MS will be able to handle it.

It's true, you'll always want more. Might as well not spend more money than you have to. Just keep the boost at 7-8psi with the stock injectors until you've done all the research you need to do to feel comfortable going forward with megasquirt.

yeah ill just go with the megasquirt so i can haved more room to play with. Whats the cost of megasquirt? is there a write up are anything i can go to for more info on it?

thanks, how much wiring is involved? so i wouldnt need any type of fpr of sfmu if i would go with megasquirt? and i assume you have to tune with a computer.
thanks for all the info! i found alot of the information i need on the symtechlab web site. the only thing that i need to know is the difference in the ms1 and the msII chips.
