ok guys i need some help here. i know these are kind of beginner questions but im scared of messing something up with my engine here when i finally get it boosted (ordered a treadstone turbo kit w/ a TR6 intercooler...ill be sure to take pictures of the install). My fuel setup consists of a SFMU, Walbro 255lph FP, a custom fuel rail(built by terry), and a set of 450 DSM injectors, and a SAFC II. what disc/spring combo do i need to use? and how do i identify them? at this point im planning on only running like 7-8psi of boost until im comfortable with it( then im planning on working up to around 14). what should i set my static fuel pressure to? ive heard that with the 450's it should be around 17psi? ive also heard that using this injector setup, the idle will be horrible (im thinking mine will be kinda bad anyway i have some crower turbo cams installed too) and that i can use the SAFC to get it to idle better. how would i do this? i know i need to brush up on the SAFC manual again..i just installed mine but never messed with it. sorry for the long post, and thanks again in advance. if it wasnt for the gurus on this site, i never would have considered going turbo.

from what i can tell from that post, this is the closest setup to mine:

RC Engineering 440cc Injectors
SFMU Disk 2.72 w/ small black spring
Idle Pressure = 10psi
Static Pressure = 20psi
Boost Pressure @ 16lbs = 90psi @ 1500 EGT
Car idles a tad rough, but perfectly fine, runs just a little too rich.
No AFC.

id say this would probably be a good place to start so i can more closely tailor the fuel to my engine. since im running lower amounts of boost my max fuel pressure should be lower..maybe around high 70's, low 80's im guessing, since i dunno what the rate of the SFMU is with the 2.72 disk/dark spring combo. does the 2.72 refer to the diameter of the disk?

addendum: according to WickedESi's writeup on the 4g63 injector install in the wiki, his idle fuel pressure is at 16 psi, and
static at 17-18 psi. but he fails to mention what spring/disk combo hes using...

Mine runs at around 21psi on 440CC and idle is ok but damn... mpg is horrible. Around 250km dont know in miles for a full tank :|

ok, so i think that in the high 10's to low 20's with the 2.72 Disk is where i need to be with my fuel pressure. So, my next big question, is how do i identify the SFMU disks/rings? is it based off of diameter? and since im running this setup on a freshly rebuilt engine, do i need to run a lower boost pressure and then ease my way up to what i want to run. im thinking of starting out with around 10psi, but i want to run 15. are these 450cc injectors gonna be too big to get any sort of decent mileage/idle out of at those boost levels? or should i swap them for 310s or something? thanks guys, keep the help coming!
