As questioned above...does anyone know of a source that deals with 2G Talons? emoji

You can find euros and all the goodies for the Eclipse but the 2G Talon seems to be a different beast altogether. emoji

Thanks

Yea your options are limited to Nightshade and Eclipse rear conversion unless you want to do a completely custom set up like azdave. Here's one of the better looking and more creative Nightshade jobs I've seen.

not a big fan of the center lit thingy, but it would be awesome to do that to our actual tail lights.

You mean like this?

The beginning of this video is the dash display I installed on the steering column for now. The rest of the video shows the sequential turn signals. I need to re-shoot this video during the day. I think it looks better to see the car too like in the first video above.

I just bought a complete set of Talon tails and a centerpiece to do an LED conversion for DR1665. It takes a lot of time since I hate hack jobs. I expect the Talon tails to be easier than mine though since I won't be building in the sequential blinking and doing the extensive active display modes.

I remember Dave mentioning once upon a time that he would have to charge something like $2,000 if he were to even consider doing this mod for someone else. Guess that makes me extremely lucky.

Read it and weap, bitches. emoji

I appreciate Dave's considering hooking Daisy up. Just so you don't all think I'm paying $2,000 for custom tail lights, Dave and I are thinking of finding a way to either mount premade LED lights (think semi-trailer lighting) inside the case or just a couple relatively simple boards which only activate like the OEM bulbs. I am willing to be at Dave's house at 0500hrs some Saturday morning to help with this project. emoji

At the same time, I really think Dave could make a killing if he found a way to kit these things up for future sale. I think Dave has given this some thought as well. Don't give up hope, you guys. Check out his photos and give it some thought. You might be able to do something similar, if not identical.

There is no going rate. I've had many requests to make more but the amount of time and labor required to do this is insane. I'm enjoying the fruits of my labor right now by showing them off and knowing that I created something very unique. I will soon have a micro-computer controlling the lights and doing some very wild special effects.

You can read up on how much work and experimenting I did to get this accomplished by visiting the project thread at HIDplanet.com

Yea, I'd be doing the Azdave thing too (microcontroller layout is all setup and sketched out), but I require around 740 LEDS and each costs about $.40. I might just wait until graduation!

Plus, I want to keep the stock hatch key hole on there - but I may have to take that off too just to keep the lighting homogeneous around the key hole. haven't figured it out yet

If you're picky like me you'll hate having the shadow from the key lock showing through the lens at different angles. I fixed that by removing the key lock and blocking the access hole. There is a fake key entrance inside the lens so it looks normal from outside.

I also installed a remote trunk pop solenoid and lifting device to top off the project. You can see them in action at the end of this remote start video.

I don't suppose you could write a step by step when your done? Or maybe do a thread they can stickie so all us Talon owners can try your magic.. I am somewhat capable in the area of electronics and the use of solder.

So what is flux agian?? emoji
