Hey guys, I am trying to remove my non power antenae from my car so I can have the hole shaved with bondo, and have a roof-mounted antenae.

Anyway, I removed the left portion of the trunk's interior and disconnected the antenae wire that goes to the cd player and unscrewed all other screws. Anyway, the antenae feels really loose, but I can't get it to pop out? Has anyone done this yet?

I still have the rubber on the antenae stub, and it's loose, but wont give. any suggestions??

I read in my Chilton's about a peice that must come off, and I figured out what my problem was...

Above the rubber peice where the screw for the antenae goes, that metal plate has to be unscrewed. Just do that and it comes right out. And to this I was trying to bang it out. Anyway, the hole is now covered with electrical tape and ready to be shaved.
