I don't even have the summbitch on yet, but can I wax this thing once I get my hoodpins and get it all on? It's supposed to have a UV protectant on it, and I don't know if wax will help or hurt it. Holler at me. TY.

Yes, you can wax your new VIS Hood. I have one and before it even went on the car it had a coat of Meguiars #26 on it.

I am sure you can wax anything, it just makes everything protected from the weather and shiny looking. I wax my tail lights and head lights. Its an old car show trick to making your car shiny.

Mines Fiber Images.... and I waxed mine

I use to have a White 99 GS Sport with a Star Stage II Ball Bearing T3/T4 turbo...it was fun untill....well those who remember me know Oh Ya...this is what I have now... a 99' GSX...

before you do that make sure you hood has been clear coated....alot of cheaper carbon fiber products just leave a buffer resin finish to them. when they get warm you will actually scratch them. so just beware...VIS is some high quality stuff but better to check then mess up the $500 hood!!!!!
