ok sence ur is a 98 it should be under the hood on the drivers side
u will see it right next to the fuse box. As far as hooking up i just hooked up a splice conector on the white wire and the wire coming from the tach i put a male conecter on it so u just have to plug it in. Also if it is still off just let me know and i know how to fix that becuase some tachs r set for 8 cyl instead of 4

most people can just go buy a chiltons and figure this out

anyways just to let you know it has little brown squares on it its the connector on the bottom you have to pull the top one off to get it

take off some of the electrical tape and dig through the wires to find it and wala splice connect your done

ok for 95 its the white wire in the middle plug
for 96+ its the white wire in the lower plug
the wire can have spots of other color but make sure it doesnt have a tracer on it ex. White wire with a yellow stripe
it will be solid white and its in the lower plug if ur 96+
if u still cant find it hit me up on aol da27055
