Simple question at hand-I've read a little on the subject, but field tested experience is what Im after. Electrical OR Mechanical Gauges?
Which works best,more acurate, ease of installation. Im getting ready to order all my gauges and I have a choice in the matter on some including Boost, Oil Pressure and EGT. I've seen some air/fuel guages- do I need this or not. WUDUYA THANK

usually, things that work the best aren't the easiest to install.
but usually digital would be better. i remember someone said that th mechanical oil temp gauge would be bad. like if it started spewing all over you.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

Mechincal over time has shown to be more accurate and quicker although usually electrical will be too close too even notice the difference. I have ALL electric except for boost. Every electric pressure or temp gauge will have a sender. Every mechanic pressure gauge you will actually run the pressure right up to the gauge. Usually you would NOT want to run your fuel or oil into the car, which is why people buy electrical or else mount outside their front window. Electric is $$ but a lot easier to read and a lot easier to deal with IMO. I don't know of a sender that reads vaccuum so that is why I use the mechanical. Of course running air into your car isn't nearly as dangerous as fuel

Thanxx guys for the info, inspite of going to the site it didnt give me as much info as I just got from u guys. I was just concerned because you only have limited space on the A pillar and I know the mechanical gauges have more than just wires to install. I go with everything electrical except the boost then.
