i saw a guy who was installin a custom sub box and removed it, i belive you have to cut it off, then grind down the edges. this is what he did, and im guessing if you could just un bolt then he would have dont that, so im betting cut and grid is the only way.

I used a plasma cutter, but not every one has access to one of those. You can use a cutting wheel and then just grind it down. Don't forget to paint the exposed metal or it will rust.

i used a saws-all too. it was a PITA and took about an hour. really loud. wear some ear protection and make sure you have saftey glassess unless you want chunks of hot metal in your eyes. it's not fun, but it's worth it. the reason i put a sub down there was so it would be harder to steal and more difficult to see. anyways, i'm done now.
