What do I need to do to paint them and make it stick to the urethane?

Personally, I would take them to a boby shop and let them do it, to ensure they look good when finished. Or if you want to do it yourself, get some 400 grit sandpaper and get all the gloss off(if the're used) then hit them with a good quality primer. Then get some 1000 grit sandpaper and wet sand the primer until its very smooth and you see no small scratches. Then wipe them down with some type of paint prep cleaner and paint-em.

I know all that, what I need to know is what additive I need to make the paint stick to the urethane, so that what happened to Kaptain Mykes front don't happen to my sides.
