When I had my center piece of my grill craft grill on, I didn't take off the bumper. I ended up taking it off after I got my turbo so everyone could see my front mount intercooler! All that I did was jack up the front of the car and lay down under it and kind of pull the bumper out a little. I heated up a nail to poke a hole through the bumper to make it easier to get the screws in. It was really easy to do without taking the bumper off. If that didn't explain how good enough email me at jasonsanderholm@cox.net and I'll try to explain it better. Good luck!

No you do not need to take off the Bumper - The screws that they give you are very sharp. Just screww them into the bracket from the outside in. Once installed, you will never see the screw. There's one for each side and one on the bottom of the grille:

Took me like 5 minutes to install it. (It's been on there for 4 years now).
