I am about to go and pick up my rear center tail light at the junk yard. I paid $65 for it. I am going to paint it today. I'll post some pics this weekend. I hope it comes out nice!!!

i have my stock tails and painted an altezza ceneter piece,, i popped the clear lens off and painted the back side of it,, then popped it back in and sealed it with silicone,, gives a look of clear coat, plus it wont chip

I'm looking forward to seeing your pics. I'm actually very seriously considering doing the same for my 96 Talon. What kind of prep work did you do? What kind of paint did you use?

First I peeled off the "eclipse" stickers. Then i sanded it down with some wet sand paper. Then I put three seperate layers of paint on it. I bought the paint at an auto part store. After that I put two coats of clear coat on it. Thats it and it looks way better than the altezza center piece.

did you get new eclipse letters from satan, reuse the originals, or just mask them off before painting your center peice?
