So all it is is the needles with some chrome rings?

How does his dash light up in the backround its all blue? to match his needles.

I spoke with koolade on msn messenger last night but he was on a time schedule, he's selling his car and getting an m3.

I remember him telling me something about blue LEDs that made all his accessory lights light up. You know your rear defrost and and everything else that lights up at night? How do I get all the backround blue instead of the stock orange?

Hey Honda,

I went through your tutorial and everything went well but I wanted to change it to red so I got a Red LED at 1.7 volts and 3000mcd. But I'm not happy with the brightness. Is there any way to get a bigger/lighter LED in there?

Thanks,
Fearless

just look at his write up.. it was well done with pics.. your thinking too much into this.. it was very easy. and the needles are easy too.. just follow directions and you will be fine... and of course you could always ask here with questions.. but like i said.. you should have no problems.

Hey thats cool, What I ment by the crome rings is there was a blue ring around the gauges, it was the reflection of the needels off the rings. But while u have the needels of the install them, you can make the numbers on ur gauges white or blue

no importintelligence is retarded.. i did the same thing and told them about it and said they should correct their statement on the bulbs on their site.. but they didnt.. i dont know what they were smoking when they thought those bulbs went in our gauge cluster.. i dont know what the exact size of the gauge bulbs, and i dont know and doubt if colored ones are made for that size bulb.. they only thing you can do is rig up some leds back there, but you will have to do more than just swap out the bulbs and when i have the time ill try and explain it and im trying to help out where i can.

oh ok, well with the needels or making ur own kit, that will change the color of the needel, but to get ur numbers blue there are to ways, on his sig and on my car I convereted to leds to change to color(somewhat pain in the butt) the easy way is when you put the needel kit on, take of the factory overlays and hold them up to the light, you will see that they are orange, if you take 230 grit and sand the back off where the numbers are. Hold it up to the light and sand untill you see no more orange. Next you can eaither get a light "gel" and place it inbetween the plastic and the gauge. You sould be able to find this in a party suply store or stage lighting. Its like a thick pice of sawran wrap thats ment for hight temp lights. Or the gehto rute is to take a blue sharpe maker and coat the back of the gauges evenly 3 times and that will give you a nice blue glow.
Hows that?
