#13969, "HOMELINK Visor Wiring"

I've got hold of a HOMELINK equipped visor which I had hoped would go straight on my RS, but I need to know what the single output wire connects to. Do I need to get an additional electronics box to get the thing to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

nope, you just need 12v ran to that one wire. it get's it's ground from where you mount it. all the hardware is built in the visor. I don't remember how to program it. I'm sure someone else can expound. oh, one other thing, did you pull it off an eclipse, or an avenger? because the avenger has a three screw mounting plate and ours it a two screw setup. the plate will swap directly though. hope this helps.

Thanks Koolade

It was off a 97'GSX I believe and bolts straight on my 99'RS. I was hoping all the stuff would be in the visor itself!

Cheers

Does the +12v need to be permanent or switched?

Thanks

I hardwired the 12v so I can use it whether the car is on or not. and you really can't use it for much other than garage door openers because of the limited frequency range. if you have a really really old alarm, you may have one that uses that frequency group and be able to program it.
