Over the next year I'm going to be completely tearing my car apart from the ground up. So, I'm going to have TONS of stuff for sale, anyone interested in the near future check out my mods list on DSMtuners.
She's going to be stripped to a bare chasis and repainted jet black then dynamatted from head to toe. In goes the cage, then all new factory interior panels, fastners, carpet, headliner, Sparco torinos, etc etc. Then in goes the JIC suspension, Shep tranny, and then the engine. I'm going with a Magnus long rod 2.4, race prepped head, ball bearing 76mm turbo, standalone, full supporting mods, 100 shot, etc etc. Depending on how the 5 speed holds up, I may go down the built automatic route. All in all, I plan on spending somewhere around 25-30k on the entire car. I'm shooting for 9's, full weight, full interior on some cheater street slicks. I dont care if its 9.99. I figure somewhere around 750whp should get it done. Lag with the 76mm isnt really a concern with the 2.4l displacement and the 10k RPM redline and the 100 shot. Within the next year to year and a half, you will see very evil, demonic things coming from the ole Laser  I now have the resources to put my day dreams into reality, and by god, I'm gonna do it. Take lots of pics and keep us posted on the progress. 
As for battling it out with Shep, I dont think that'll be happening. I'm just planning on landing somehwere in the 9 second range, he's way into the 8's and looking for 7's in the next few years.
