#13023, "broken exhaust manifold bolts"

i have a 90 TSi and 2 of my exhuast manifold bolts that connect to the block are broken. They stick out just a little, enough to fit a wrench on. I was wondering how hard it would be to back the studs out and replace them?

PS ive tried searching but couldnt find anything.

Thanks in advane

As long as you have something to grab onto you are fine. You can get the studs from www.buschurracing.com for pretty cheap.

Advice. Every night before you go to bed, or even a couple of times a day for a few days, spray the studs you want to take out with a crapload of wd40 or something similar to make them as easy as possible to get out. You'll be thankful when they just thread out as opposed to breaking off the little bit you have to hold on to.

Being patient in doing this will make your life much easier.

It's running again shitheads.
