#12811, "Where can i find a FAQ on the 4G64 to 4G63 Head Swap?"

If anyone can tell me Where can i find a FAQ on the 4G64 to 4G63 Head Swap I would be very thankfull. Im probley going to swap to the 2G 4G63T head (sence from what i'v seen its beter and less work involved), so if the FAQ covers that it would be even beter, if not any FAQ would give me a beter idea then i probley already have. Thanks again and if anyone has any other info i might need to know about the swap feel free to e-mail me or post it.

Thx, thous sites you add'ed gave me a little more insight and a more compleat parts list, but still have yet to see a Compleat Installation Page. All the ones iv been to are all still under construction. I probley just going to have to just do it and see what happens, but it would be nice to find a FAQ so im sure not to fuck up too badly. The things that are confussing me most is....

-How do I wire the resistor pack in if I install larger low impedance injectors and thats if i even have too in a 97 Galant?
-How do I swap out the ECU and wiring to convert over in my galant?
-Whats a DIS Module and do i have to do somthing to it?
-Do i have to get Custom Pistons? Or can i use my 97 galant one or even the 94 Galant ones (94 galant came with DOHC)?
-Do i have to have the 94 Galant Camshaft Sprockets? Or can i get an after market kind, and if so what kind?
-Is there anything that has to be Jerry Rigged with the 2G, like you have too in the 1G?
-Do i have to Swap out the Computers, and if so which one do i need when useing the 2G head (the 2G computer or the 94 galant computer)?

Thanks Again for your info,
David Graham

I will look into this in more detail later, but keep in mind that the 2g head is only better when properly ported and otherwise modified. In stock form, the 1g head flows much better than the 2g.

If this is the case, what would i have to do to the 2G to make it the beter choice? Any idea?

well, if you're gonna have it ported, might as well get a 3-5 angle valve job(increases flow) while you're in there and also get a 2G exaust manifold. You should have the head and exaust manifold port matched to even everything out. Any reputable machine shop should be able to do these things for not TOO much money if you bring them the head and mani and tell them what you want.
