5 psi is not exactly that complicated in terms of tuning. Just run rich, but not too rich and it fine. When you have built internals, there is more room for error to tune down, then dyno's/wideband are key to extracting as much power.
Actually, I've gotten pretty good with tuning my car. My egts are tuned correctly (never go above 1525), a/f is rich but with the bleed valve in boost, a/f is at .98 (which is nice). And YES I TRAVEL travel up and down california with my turboed 420a (350 miles one way!!!).
