"We will send hookers with blow through a local pimp in our service. However, we have sent you five extra kilos of blow so that you may send it to another pimp in another part of the world that will somehow be involved in a plane crash tomorrow that happened two years ago. Please send extra blow via Western Union." ... and so begins the Nigerian Blow Scam. And you you'll find out it was baking soda, but only after you lose your house, your car, and your left testicle. emoji I wonder how many people still fall for that crap?

I personally know someone that fell for a scam of this type. Person said they were needing their cashiers check's cashed so they could get back to the united states. The person scamming sat and had conversations with the person I know. Long story short this person "cashed" them and sent out the money same day. A few days later gets a call and this persons bank account is overdrawn by over 3 grand. Needless to say this person spent months trying to fix the account and just about got fraud charges themselves. The FBI got involved and said the Nigerian government would not cooperate with them to bring these scammers to justice and that its been a HUGE problem.

Not Nigerian scam. Notice the language used and the sentence structure. That was written by someone who knows the english language.

Of course the could have hired someone to write it........

Most of the Nigerian scams seem to use proper English. So maybe its someone not native to that country over there scamming because they know the Nigerian government will not go after them.

The term Nigerian Scam actually refers to the country most often having money sent to, as well as the location of most supposed airline crashes. I read up on a little about this, and the scam started with people actually claiming to be a friend of someone who was involved in an airline crash, after they sent money for whatever product or service. They would ask for the victims to send the money that was sent to them to help pay for hospital bills, and would reassure the victims that they would send more money once everything would get better. After that, the scam would grow into other stories, some convincing and others just plain retarded. This scam has people all over the world working together ripping people off. I believe they make several billion dollars a year screwing people out of money. Some people only lose five or six thousand, and others lose a couple thousand dollars, eventually losing their homes.
