I was thinking of turboing my RS but eventually I saw less and less point in dumping so much money.

So here it is, 1993 TSI AWD emoji

As much as I love how my slightly modded RS handles, I'll let it go before I've dumped too much money to make it hard to part with.

1993 Eagle Talon TSI AWD: balance shafts, cruise & AC removed; 16psi, Dejon intake & UICP, ported 14b, EVOIII mani, ported 2G O2 housing, 2.5" Buschur dp to 3" Thermal exhaust, datalogger, front strut brace, prothane motor mounts

1995 Eclipse RS U-Boot; Tokico Illuminas, GSX front brakes, ST front swaybar, short shifter, CAI with K&N filter, rear disks and swaybar, front upper and rear lower strut braces, beater exterior

:)

it's really clean yes, 100k miles, the tranny slightly grinds in 2nd but it's not a big deal for now. It's slightly modded, stock 14b at 16 psi. Honestly I'll be scared to really push it until I get used to it.

P.S. sorry for posting in the wrong forum

Why? I would love to hear this.

x2, I ment to say, the 7 bolt motor still has a lot of potential, Not all 7 bolts crank walk. And if I am not mistaken the 93 ecu is an eprom's ecu letting you use a dsmchip, opposed to the 92 which is a non eprom ecu; but I just looked it up and the last year with the eprom ecu was 91... for the 1g, it was brought back in 95 just for fun.

Umm...
90-early 92 are 6-bolts
93 is a 7 bolt.

EPROM has nothing to do with the year it was made...

1990

Inagural model year of the DSM.
Pop-up headlights.
Some high-end models had wheel covers.
All ECUs had EPROMs.
Front brakes change during the model year.
1.8L models have the 4G37 engine, all others have the 4G63 engine.

1991

ECU changes mean that 1991+ ECUs don't operate the 1990 tachometer correctly.
Most ECUs had EPROMs.
First model year with ABS available. ABS not available with limited-slip differential (LSD).
All high-end models had alloy or mesh wheels.
First year of the Galant VR-4 - 2000 sold in the American market.

1992

Non-popup headlights introduced on all models.
The first AWD Lasers were introduced.
Few (or no) ECUs have EPROMs.
ABS now available with LSD.
The engine changes from the 6-bolt version to the 7-bolt version in April.
Second and final year of the Galant VR-4 - 1000 sold in the American market.
The last year of the Dodge 2000GTX.

Year has SOMETHING to do with EPROM but I know that it has been verified that even some 1990's came with non-EPROMs.

it's official

I had a deposit on it but for a few days the seller delayed because he had to sort out his insurance. I was kinda getting nervous but it's a done deal now and the car is in my driveway.

If you 1G folks know of any maintenance stuff not typical for 2GNTs, do tell. I want to keep it in the perfect condition it is now.
