Backed the Evo into a retaining wall 2 weeks ago. Cracked the tailight ($318) dented up the rear 1/4 ($589) scratched the bumper ($763) gouged the rim ($630)
Assessed at $4004. Ugly eh?:
So I talked to the body shop about me getting some of the parts myself to help lessen my $500 deductible. I got a JDM bumper, a set of Evo VIII tails and threw my Evo VIII rims with the snow tires on. I ended up spending a grand total of $700 for replacing $1789 worth of parts. I picked up my car today from the shop and he gave me a check for $1289 after he subtracted the deductible. After I pay the $700 back to the credit card company, I get $589 in my pocket.
