I've pretty much got my mind made up that I'm going for the new job.
Here's the deal, my current salary is $38,729.60 with 15 days paid vacation a year, plus 10 paid holidays (25 days total). I get $1000/yr tuition reimbursement, which isn't much. Since I'm salaried, there's basically no chance of overtime.
I was offered a position for $45,760 with 28 days off a year (no holidays, they must be taken out of my leave time), $1500/yr tuition reimbursement, and a certification allowance. This is an hourly position with the chance of overtime, but also the chance of not getting the full 40 hours.
Now, I like my current job, have a good work relationship with everyone here and enjoy the atmosphere, but I scrape by at the end of each pay period. The new job would allow for $135 more a week, or $585.87 more a month.
The drive wouldn't change but maybe two miles one way, so that's trivial.
Like I said, I've pretty much made up my mind, but was curious if your thoughts.
