Brian is trying to install his coil over on Tokico Illuminas and the inside of the the threaded sleeve isn't big enough for the Tokico's to slide in. Anybody ahve this problem? or a solution?

he will need to purchase some extra parts for the convertion to work. I purchased adapters for them to work but one set of my red sleeves required this smaller adapter sleaves between the shock and the red collar. The color is gunmetal grey and again fits inside the red sleeve(collar). It makes a snug fit from the red adjustable housing that the whole setup twists around to the shock beneath it. My GC CO came a from Galant VR-4 riding on 4-way KYB. Since I have the illuminas I had to purchase the red new collars ($30 staight from GC) and the smaller sleeve that fits between them and the shock (I received for free but will prolly costs additional 20-40 bucks depending on your source). Is that it?

One more question- When you first installed it (Tokico's) Did the rod from the shock stick up too high?

I had to put washers (temporary) to keep the rod from "knocking" on their way back down.

...it looked like it though but they didn't, also I completely eliminated all the bushings in all the shocks for a lower drop. I used high grade steel and Zinc washers from Home Depot. It works great and ZERO wheels hop. Traction is as good as it gets until I get an LSD.

I had some problems with the strut rod moving around while driving after installing my coilover but I just cut a bushing a little and put that back in.

I gave Ground Control a call and they said I need a whole new set-up in the rear! What gives!?

Should I just sell the G.C. kit for Skunk2 Drop springs and not worry about it anymore?

Ground Control is much better than anything skunk2 could produce.

...I can think of they need a new setup in the rear is because may the sping is too narrow as well, meaning it won't be able to fit over the collar and the strut. If this is not the case call again. For me I didn't have the correct collars for the front and the rear collars were too wide. They sent me the collar inserts that had to be hammered in so there wouldn't be any play. The order was like this, the Shock, insert, the read collar, spring and that was it. If that doesn't work drop me some mail, I'll see what I can do. I've talk to them I don't know how many times
