#5582, "rear camber kit?"

what is the 15$ rear camber kit? I did a search and everybody talks about it but seemed to always go with ingalls, engals whatever...
When I washed my car today and the wheels, I saw that I have totally worn out the inside of rear tires. I'm dropped on 2" Sprints, stock tire size with the 5 spoke 97 gs rims.

The only thing I can think of too is my rear suspension has gone bad. How long do shocks last?

on my old set up of Progress and stock struts, they last about 5 month.

I too had premature inside tread wear without a camber kit. my camber were -1.5, -1.3 (front L and respectively) and -2.3, -2.5 (rear). Not too sur about the toe, but I remember they had to "toe in" the suspension arm to make the cambers equal.

Ended up costing me brand new tires. My rear tires was worn down like drag slicks on the inside, and prefectly fine on the outside.

My reccomendation: if you are strap for cash get the 15$ mod. It is mainly washers and a longer grade 8 bolt to push the A arm outward.
If you do not want to guess, then get the RRE camber kit for 40$.

otherwise go with the Ingalls.

hope this helps out.

I have the $15 camber mod and it works fine. I was going through tires every 3 - 4 months, now they last at least a year and I always go through tires fast due to how I drive corners.

i am installin springs this weekend, and i just completed the 15$ rear mod. its pretty straight forward with the link from the 2gnt.com site, and fast420's pics on his webpage.

i just hope that by the time the fronts are worn on the insides from havin no camber kit, the rears will be fine to swap.
