#27975, "Anybody Have the Progress Rear Anti-Roll Bar? Because It's Cheap..."

Adventon, who's a good company who I've done business with on a few very expensive parts, sell's Progress rear anti-roll bars, by themselves, for only $141!

Here's a link:
http://www.adventon.com/acb/showprod.cfm?&DID=24&CATID=123&ObjectGroup_ID=2851

Does anyone have this bar?

is it supposed to be the rear sway bar??
If so thats a decent price BUT if you dont have a rear sway bar from the factory there are more OEM parts you need so it will fit.

Best bet for new rear and upgraded from sway bar is this
you need to order the sway bar and the adapter

Yes, it says rear on it. This would be good for people who don't feel the need to pay twice as much so they can upgrade there front bar. I heard this bar was the stiffiest availible too.

I thought it was around 300 bucks for the OEM parts vs 90 for this adapter kit...

the OEM parts are said to cost $150ish from a dealer if I remember correctly, less depending on where you look.

They are cheap, I'll give you that. Just remember that with most things, especially with our cars, that you get what you pay for. I bought a set of springs from progess, they were HORRIBLE, much lower drop than advertized and were way too soft, bottomed them out in fact got a flat tire... it was a bad scenario. Needless to say I returned them as fast as I could and got pro-kits. Now I don't know if their anti roll bars are good or bad... but I've had a bad experience with this company before, I figured I'd just give my $.02 worth. If you decide to get them, and they are good, let us know, I'd love to upgrade my sway bars, especially at that price!

I dont think thats too cheap. 140. for just the rear swaybar? I thought stillen was cheap when i bought the front and rear for 200.00 on sale. That price seem saverage considering the rmdsm sway bars are 300.00 for a pair.

300 for the pair of suspension techniques here. I regularly auto x this car and they work well with tokicos and sprint springs. Fairly neutral in the dry, a bit tail happy in the wet.

Thanks for your input.

I'll probably just buy the RMDSM bars like I originally had plan when I have the money.

simple pressed steel part vs. boxed in pressed steel part that is structurally sound enough to have a 1.5" inch square hole in it... where is the confusion? i upgraded to just a stock rear sway... trust me there's a difference....
