#2624, "spring compressor"

What type of spring compressor do I need to do the front springs? The rear springs?

Are our springs a machperson strut setup for both front and back?

We don't have MacPherson struts front or back, just regular struts. As far as a spring compressor goes I used one that I rented. It's just two long bolts with fingers on the end to hold the spring. Then you just screw the nuts down which in turn compresses the spring. You won't need it to put shorter springs on if you are lowering your car. You probably don't "need" it to take the spring/strut assembly apart either as long as you don't lose anything. I am pretty sure that some people on this board didn't use one. Hope this helps you.
