it depends on how much u wanna drop. You will probably have to roll the inner lip on the rear fenders with a drop. 18x8 has been done. I am pretty sure a lot of the 19's you see on eclipses are 19x8. If 19x8 fits, no doubt 18x8 will. Go for it.

Look at my car (well former car) in the photo. Those wheels are 18x8 and the car is lowered 1.4 inches.

Mine's 18x7.5. I think. About rolling the fenders, it depends on how much u drop it. Mine's lowered on sportlines, so I definitely had to roll the fenders.

Oh yeah, aren't u the guy that goes to CSULB? There was a SoCal meet recently. So far, there's 4 ppl from CSULB. We plan on meeting up again prolly around Christmas time.

actually, really doesnt depend on the drop, just depends on the offset of the wheel, i could ride 225/40/18 at about a 3-4 inch drop(air ride) say for instance, if the off set is designed for a ford mustang, more than likely it will look slightly wide on a eclipse, (set out a lil) the offset on those wheels are like +47 and up stay under + 43 and u should be fine.
