finally got some good brakes on, but now the front wheel (the one that had the pad worn all the way down), feels likes it wobbling

it doesn't do it when I'm accelerating, it's only when I have none of the pedals pushed in and I'm just coasting along...what could this be??? the wheel is tightened down pretty good. I was thinking of just taking it to a shop next week and asking them what it is...like a free inspection deal or something, but thought I would get your guys' opinions first

I must say though, these were a lot easier than doing the drum brakes on my old Mustang!!!

Hmm, it sounds like you you may have a bad wheel bearing. Sometimes they cause premature brake wear and also other fun things like tire wear because of misalignment. Jack the car up and put one hand on the top of the wheel and your other hand on the bottom and try to wiggle it some. if it moves, you prob have a bad wheel bearing.

What all did you replace? Did you just put on new pads? Or did you do both new pads and rotors? If you only did the pads, then there is your problem.. Could be your wheel bearing. Jack up the car, and try and wiggle the wheel back and forth, up and down, be sure you are looking at the suspension at the same time. If you feel the wheel has play in it, make sure its not the suspension, if not, then it could be your wheel bearing. Although most vibration when braking is caused by a warped rotor, or very poor alignment.

FU#^ me up the @$$...all it was, was a little WD-40 got on some of the lug nuts...and let's just say the stuff did it's job...3 of them little buggers wiggled loose...tightened them up today, and everything is cool...so far...

P.S. I only changed the pads and rotors...and it took about 1 1/2 hours to get done...very very easy!!!

Use a torque wrench when tightening up the lug nuts on the rims. You don't want them wiggling loose and you don't want them too tight. Too tight may warp your rotors eventually.

over tightening lugs can also cause your lug studs to snap while your driving becuase of the increased preasure
