#5276, "Is the Greddy Emanage right for me?"

Hello, Community my name is Jonathan Morasco from Sheridan Indiana and I am wanting to run a T3/T4 turbo on 20 psi. I have 720cc injectors, MSD coil pack, MSD wires, NGK spark plugs and a 255 phl walbro fuel pump. Will the Greddy Emanage be able to work with this setup? Also is the installation on this system complicated(saudering, buying harnesses and a whole bunch of rewiring)? Also does this system have a wider fuel to air ratio than the Apexi SAFC2? Also the reason I dont want to run a Megasquirt is because of the massive rewiring of the car, way to much saudering and the biggest reason of all is that makes this even more complicated is the fact my car was wired up for the Apexi SAFC2 before I bought the car and the directions is for the stock wiring system. SO with that in mind please do not mention the Megasquirt it is a good system but I feel I will grenade my car with the easy mistake of a wiring mistake. Thank you community!

I don't think so. I ran the Emanage Ultimate for a year when I first began boosting at 8psi, and the EMU did work well - but it's limited in the adjustment range. If you are running those large injectors you may max out your values just trying to get back to stock range, let alone any tuning beyond. I also was not able to ever get spark control to work. I heard of some people who were able to run an external mitsu igniter box, but never personally tried it. Beyond that, the amount of wiring isn't much more complicated than MS (sorry, had to mention it!) - and the manuals are pretty confusing as they were translated from Japanese so I had a hard time following parts.

Those injectors are to large for emanage. Those injectors are 3 times the size of stock ones, you should be able to control 440s fine but then you may not have enough fuel. When I ran emanage I ran 440s with a SFMU and just used emanage for fine tuning. It worked great and the AFR was perfect in boost.

I am one of the only ones I know of that did get spark control to work on the emanage blue. I did use a 4g63 ignition pack and a circuit to drive it from the stock ECU. It was a very basic circuit but it did seem to work. However the car would blow spark out in boost very easily. Im sure with some tweaks it could be made to work but I got tired of messing with it and went to MS. I also never tested it with a light to see if the timing stayed the same as stock or if emanage was even retarding it like it is suppose to.

Maybe you should try portfueler.
