I would save the money and get a SFMU or megasquirt. Safc isn't good for the 420a. But its just my 2 cents.

"So does the safc even work?"

Yes.

But doesn't do much. Gained 2 or 3 whp (don't remember exact number)when I installed mine. Dyno tuned.

But if I had one kicking around (and I didn't have MSnS installed, lol), I wouldn't be against putting it on (with use of wideband of course). It could save you a little bit of that liquid gold.

Before I was using Meagsquirt, I used one and liked it.

BUt truthfully, the best thing it was used for on my car was leaning out my idle because I was using 440 and then 510cc injectors and I couldnt get it leaned out enough, just with the SFMU.

just spend the extra money and get a SFMU instead of the FMU. SFMU's are nice to work with and are adjustable, as FMU's are not.

Word.

I liked my safc because of my cams & low vacuum at idle. I could also adjust cruising AFR while on the freeway and got like 35 mpg. It felt better after I installed it, but may have been a placebo.

Sfmu or MSnS.

I wouldn't mess with them.

I know some 4g63t guys that have them and love them but that's it.

Most honda guys i know have ecu reflashes or chips and also say the safc is garbage.

Goodnight sweetheart...yes its time to go...bum bum bum bum bum...good night sweetheart yes I am one little a$$hole......bum bum bum bum....

I had one on my car before, and I thought it worked, and it seemed to help a little in the 1/4 mile; I think I squeezed another .10 or a bit more out of the car with it.

But, you will get more for your money with the megasquirt.

I bought one just in case when I get my crower 2 cams installed I can adjust the idle if I need to. If I dont need it then I will resell it.
