Sup guys,
Just curious, since I haven't been following the MS forum for awhile.
Has any new development has accomplished for allowing the MS to control the stock IAC motor? (so I can use SPARK and still idle and startup perfectly?)
OR is there other replacement?
Thanks guys.
Gil

Paul and Symtechlabs (www.symtechlabs.com) are making a complete plug and play msns that is susposed to be able to hook up to some other modules that run the IAC and regulate voltage to alternator etc. Thats it for all that I know.

That's one of the modules that's pretty much complete. PM me if you would want to test it out.

Thanks for the reply.
I just checked out http://www.symtechlabs.com and it looks really great.
But I don't quite see the module you mentioned regarding to control the stock IAC? also what you mean a fully constructed MSNS that can handle IAC also?
I already have a fully built and running MSnS for a year or so now. But I am currently not running spark because of the idling. (since the IAC is not controlled by MS)
Any Solution to that?

That's what we're working on... we've got a few prototypes that convert the FIDLE signal from MSnS-E to a usable stepper position for the stock IAC. We call it a module because it's one of many parts that will come together to eventually form PnP 420A MS. Conversely, it can also be installed and used separately for those of you who already have MS hardwired, such as yourself.

I sent you a PM regarding the subject. We'll start making announcements as we're ready for more beta testers for other modules.

Paul, how is the module configured in the MS? 3 wire in (+ grd FIDLE) & 4 out? If you need one tested let me know. I have resorted back to the same boat as yoyo (gil).

Terry,

You're pretty close... it's four wire in (+12V switched, +12V constant, ground, FIDLE) and four wire out. It doesn't pull any current when the car is off, but it uses the +12V constant to return the stepper to position zero whenever the ignition is killed.

There are also two auxiliary inputs you can configure for use with PS or A/C, or anything else really. Each one automatically opens the stepper a user-configurable amount when the respective input is high: up to 50% each. You can also tie the two together to open the stepper to 100% when just one input is high.

These inputs help the idle react to external events a little quicker than solely relying on closed loop feedback from MS.

I'm hoping to have a few prototypes ready to be shipped by next week. I'll give you a holler, as well as Gil, when they're all set.

Regards,

Paul

Wow very nice. Did a bit of reading on the PWM for the FIDLE and the neon guys are having success so I have no doubts the 50% sounds likeit would work without an issue (depending what they consider an issue.) If this pans out, this will be one hell of a move for the MS crowd.
