#4095, "MS2 timing"

So I'm swapping over to MS2 and seem to have some timing issues. It's the same v3 board from MS1, and tried adjusting the trigger in MT to the same 69* but it ran like crap. Did Trigger wizard while running and found it sat best somewhere around -30*... Is the new code just set up a bit differently, so is somethin screwy?

That was all built-in with MS2/Extra; the trigger should be set to 0*. Take a look here for the settings others are using with MS2:

I'd heard that also, but it just seemed sluggish at 0*. Runs best actually around 20* adv. I'll go ahead and leave it at zero, maybe verify with my timing light whenever i pick it up from work, and then maybe rework my ign map a bit. Some of those .msq's are pretty out there on those maps! overall helpful, thanks

Here's an interesting thread on Neons.org somewhat pertaining to your question:

Yeah, i'd found that one in searching. Learned a little of what to expect with a dial-timing light! I just know I transfered over my maps from MS1 and the 12* idle was making it stumble and hesitate, and very slow throttle response on the whole. Did the trigger advance and found max vaccum was around -26ish*, but I'd get knock on the upper end. I just resulted in advancing my entire map up about 5 to be on the safe side, then retarded in boost as I heard knock (det can method). so far it's workin well, just takes time and sucks that the MS1 map didn't transfer straight over.
