I'M STARTING TO GET EXCITED MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!! YOU BETTER START GETTING FUCKING EXCITED TOO!!!!!

So we are around 4.5 months away from the 2005 DSM Shootout. This forum should be BOMBARDED with all KINDS OF shit!! Caravan arrangements, stories from last year, bench racing, plan making, pictures, etc. Come on guys! The SHOOTOUT is almost here!@!!!!! JUMP UP IN THE AIR AND SING AND SHIT! The best part of the year is fast approaching. We should be going FUCKING CRAZY!

Also anyone who doesn't go to the shootout this year will be banned forever from the board. That is all.

This has been Jeff's annual "OH SHIT THE SHOOTOUT IS ALMOST HERE" thread.

hahaha jeff your great! btw i still need a floor to sleep on, prolly hit up chris and Mike to make sure they have a room. I wish I could be more excited than i am. Im getting paid by work to go to the shootout but my bonus check will be here to late this year to finish my turbo dreams. I really don't think i will have the snail hooked up and if i do it will be so outta tune i'd be scared to run it. I want to see more people run some sub 12 second times this year, well hell anyone run a sub 12second time! I will donate $10 to the 2gnt shootout fund, and maybe we can get more people to donate and encourage people to actually race this year and not piss and moan. (they wouldn't let me run my neon rental last year i didn't pass tech)

That's very thoughtful of you, but one of them will run. And if it's only to beat Jeff's ass emoji

I'm thinking 4 months should be enough to get the 90 back together. We dropped the block in this weekend and all the parts are finally here. Now all we need to do is untangle that wire mess and hope it'll start...

10 seconds, here I come! Jeff, are you scared? LMAO!

Hell yes I am if you have the 90 running. I don't think my Talon will make it this year, so I will either be in a stock GS-T or riding with a friend. After the Evo is gone I will be looking for a Spyder, so maybe we can do a heads up drop-top race. emoji

I wouldn't be too scared just yet considering it's current state (and state for the past 4 years or so) emoji

Tech? What tech? I think there will definitely be some 12 second runs by board members. I'm sure there will be at least 1 sub 12, 11 2gnt there (and we all know who's it is also). I'll run the 2gnt event and maybe a pass or 2 on Sunday. I going to keep the number of runs down to about 5 for the weekend so I need to make them count.

Goal for this year ... drive home in my car!

So let me get this straight, you are going to race Jeff topless? Could we make it a footrace across the BW parking lot instead?

Sure! Are you in too?

I don't know about Jeff going topless though. Maybe he could go barefoot instead. Then again, I'm not sure if I'd rather see his man-breasts or his smelly feet. It's a toss-up. Not sure if we could handle either... Thoughts?

MOTHERFUCKING SHOOTOUT!

I fully support banning of all members not in attendance.

And I will race this year since I'll actually have all my bugs ironed out (knock wood). No throw it all together the week before.

So, yeah. Jen's going topless all weekend? I'm even more in. (Disclaimer: No intent to offend. Did I meet you last year anyway? Too many drinks were had methinks since I remember so little.)

It's running again shitheads.

No, Jen has never made an appearance at the Shootout yet. Though this year should be one hell of a time if all the bench foot-racing in this thread actually takes place.

And I resent the man-breast comment. emoji I happen to like my chest thank you very much.

Oh quit it. If you can't take this now, maybe you shouldn't come to the shootout at all. I wouldn't want to make you crawl in a corner to cry. j/k!!!

I'll check out your chest in detail at the shootout and then I might offer to take my comment back. emoji

^^^^^^^^^Engine had 7 miles on it when I got to Norwalk. It has about 1100 on it now. We shall see what track nights yield this spring.

I just ordered my Carbon Fiber hood. My first rice mod. This year the car will be almost unchanged mechanically but will be cosmetically changed. Such a different strategy for me. I'm so confused how to go about this.

It's running again shitheads.

What? DSM make pretty? Huh? What's that? Don't go native on us, Matt. Keep her scary looking. We all know Jeff's car is slow because it's prettier. Pretty = slow. One of the reasons why I'm glad Daisy is aging so well. LOL

You're right. emoji

Then when Jeff gets it running again it will reclaim its 'fastest on the board' status.

Then our evil grins will turn into sheepish pursed lips. Do they have an emoticon for that?

Well IF I decided to race at T.H.E SO, I wouldnt do so on T.H.E. 19's. I would bring some other lightweight wheels with drag radials.

Haha

Don't even think about it!

1) It's a funny story about how a nurse at the hospital said womit not vomit, which we found very funny.

2) I searched all the threads with our pictures in it, and none came up. They were all red x's off of your college server so no pics that I can think of that we have access to.

It's running again shitheads.

Fortunately, I was able to come across a couple mug shots of the two of you from last year at Best Western. Not the best pictures, but they made me laugh. I don't really know why. Maybe I'm just getting excited or something...

Perhaps someone will get a vague, mainly car shot of me this this year so I don't have to resort to taking my own picture again. (And talk about stupid things you did on film. I mean, the shocker? How exceedingly juvenile!)

LOL! Almost there! emoji

I'M STARTING TO GET EXCITED MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!! YOU BETTER START GETTING FUCKING EXCITED TOO!!!!!

So we are around 10 weeks away from the 2005 DSM Shootout.

This has been Brian's annual reiteration of Jeff's "OH SHIT THE SHOOTOUT IS ALMOST HERE" thread.

(It's been over two months since this thread was bumped. Had to do it.)

For the record, I've started making calls to people along my route. I still don't have a guaranteed ride there yet, but I've got my rest stops all planned out and I'm only 10 weeks away from leaving on a 2 week long road trip. My God! It will be beautiful!

Jump, motherfuckers! The Shootout is coming!

Big Evil has to make it. Daisy is coming and Dino and I have a deal. If Big Evil does not make it, Dino has to wear an az2gnt shirt all weekend. emoji

I never agreed to any such thing.

The main concern isn't even getting it back together - 90% of the mechanical stuff is done. getting it running with three, four weeks to spare isn't even a huge issue - i can have it running in two weeks if i try. The big problem is going to be getting the car registered, "inspected," and insured so i can actually drive it on the street...

So I am driving a DSM to the Shootout now. emoji So much for my "being plastered all weekend" plans. I guess I can give them up to be cruising to my 5th consecutive DSM Shootout behind the wheel of the cars I love so much. Things are starting to look up. emoji

ROCK ON!

Drive the car to Norwalk.
Park it.
Get plastered and bum rides everywhere.

I think, so long as you don't defile the interior of a brother's car, you should be set.

This is going to be a road trip of epic proportions for me. Nearly two weeks and 5,000 miles all because of the DSM. I just can not fucking wait.

ARE YOU FUCKING EXCITED YET OR WHAT???????

I can't stop talking about this thing. I've got people coming out of the wood work here at work asking me all about DSMs and where this race is. Even they, the ignorant masses, are aware that this is something signifigant.

In nine days, I fire up Daisy and leave for Norwalk. OMG. This is SO SWEET!
