I'M STARTING TO GET EXCITED MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!! YOU BETTER START GETTING FUCKING EXCITED TOO!!!!!

So we are around 4.5 months away from the 2005 DSM Shootout. This forum should be BOMBARDED with all KINDS OF shit!! Caravan arrangements, stories from last year, bench racing, plan making, pictures, etc. Come on guys! The SHOOTOUT is almost here!@!!!!! JUMP UP IN THE AIR AND SING AND SHIT! The best part of the year is fast approaching. We should be going FUCKING CRAZY!

Also anyone who doesn't go to the shootout this year will be banned forever from the board. That is all.

This has been Jeff's annual "OH SHIT THE SHOOTOUT IS ALMOST HERE" thread.

hahaha jeff your great! btw i still need a floor to sleep on, prolly hit up chris and Mike to make sure they have a room. I wish I could be more excited than i am. Im getting paid by work to go to the shootout but my bonus check will be here to late this year to finish my turbo dreams. I really don't think i will have the snail hooked up and if i do it will be so outta tune i'd be scared to run it. I want to see more people run some sub 12 second times this year, well hell anyone run a sub 12second time! I will donate $10 to the 2gnt shootout fund, and maybe we can get more people to donate and encourage people to actually race this year and not piss and moan. (they wouldn't let me run my neon rental last year i didn't pass tech)

Tech? What tech? I think there will definitely be some 12 second runs by board members. I'm sure there will be at least 1 sub 12, 11 2gnt there (and we all know who's it is also). I'll run the 2gnt event and maybe a pass or 2 on Sunday. I going to keep the number of runs down to about 5 for the weekend so I need to make them count.

^^^^^^^^^Engine had 7 miles on it when I got to Norwalk. It has about 1100 on it now. We shall see what track nights yield this spring.

I just ordered my Carbon Fiber hood. My first rice mod. This year the car will be almost unchanged mechanically but will be cosmetically changed. Such a different strategy for me. I'm so confused how to go about this.

No worries Tony. That year I was kind of a fly on the wall as it was my first SO and all. This year we'll redo the introduction properly. You can have the Jager and I'll stick with the beer. I don't want to womit everywhere which is what a full night of hard liquor would do to me.

So we are around 10 weeks away from the 2005 DSM Shootout. This forum should be BOMBARDED with all KINDS OF shit!! Caravan arrangements, stories from last year, bench racing, plan making, pictures, etc. Come on guys! The SHOOTOUT is almost here!@!!!!! JUMP UP IN THE AIR AND SING AND SHIT! The best part of the year is fast approaching. We should be going FUCKING CRAZY!

Also anyone who doesn't go to the shootout this year will be banned forever from the board. That is all.

This has been Brian's annual reiteration of Jeff's "OH SHIT THE SHOOTOUT IS ALMOST HERE" thread.

(It's been over two months since this thread was bumped. Had to do it.)

For the record, I've started making calls to people along my route. I still don't have a guaranteed ride there yet, but I've got my rest stops all planned out and I'm only 10 weeks away from leaving on a 2 week long road trip. My God! It will be beautiful!

The main concern isn't even getting it back together - 90% of the mechanical stuff is done. getting it running with three, four weeks to spare isn't even a huge issue - i can have it running in two weeks if i try. The big problem is going to be getting the car registered, "inspected," and insured so i can actually drive it on the street...

So I am driving a DSM to the Shootout now. So much for my "being plastered all weekend" plans. I guess I can give them up to be cruising to my 5th consecutive DSM Shootout behind the wheel of the cars I love so much. Things are starting to look up.
