Well I finished my timing and she's purring like a kitten I however am under the impression that my cat is getting clogged because of the loss of power and i have this carbon smell. Should i get an OEM or pay a lil more for the OBX? will i actually notice any more power? It's advertised a "10-15 HP" increase. lol I doubt that much but will it be worth it to get? I do plan on getting a cat back soon as well. Thanx!

I bought one of those back when i was NA. Its a nice peice of work but its not a catalytic converter as advertised, its a test pipe. As long as you dont have smog testings where you are at... go for it.

It's a test pipe AND more expensive than OEM??? That makes no sense, a test pipe should cost no more than $25-$30 and an OEM cat should cost $150-$200. Are you guys talking about the same piece?
Per your question, if you're putting in a cat to comply with emissions, get an OEM, I don't believe there is any aftermarket high-flow cat out there that is smog compliant. If you just want power, get the test pipe and live with the CEL it'll throw, this should be a prerequisite for turbo BTW.

While I'm not in a smog controlled enviroment but I don't want to smell the gasses everytime i start the car or come to a stoplight. So I guess my best bet would be to go OEM?

the obx cat is just a test pipe as mentions above the only differance between it and a test pipe is that it doesn't throw a cel. but you will not pass emissions, but you don't have to worry about it so go with it but i would do the cat back first but that is up to you.
