I got a header and downpipe, however, they don't seem to fit perfectly and there is a gap. It's a sleeve type connection where the downpipe comes over the header part. I'm looking for ideas to tighten that sleeve fit so it won't leak. Anybody know of any clamps to use or anything else that could work?

I have the exact same problem. What Road Race suggested was to cut the two pipes where they meet, and make a flange. Would cost around 60 bucks. But I don't think exhaust leaks really hurt that much (it's not like a boost leak or anything), so I don't really think it matters...

Scream on over to a muffler shop and have them expand the header end to fit nicely inside the downpipe end. If you say nice things and don't use words like"hey greasemonkey" they'll prob do it free or like $5. Prob solved.

I'd actually recommend putting a flange in there instead of a clamp. the shop that does all of my exhaust work has never charged me more than $30 to put a flange in anything.
